Thicket for Android
Early access on Android
Last updated: 3 October 2026
Thicket is out on iPhone. On Android it’s in early access while Google Play runs its checks on a new developer’s first app, which takes a few weeks. Join the test and you get the app from Google Play now, free, and updates as they come.
Two steps
- Ask to join the Thicket Android testers group with the Google account your phone uses. I approve requests by hand, usually the same day. It’s just the guest list: no one else in it can see who you are.
- Once you’re in, become a tester on Google Play, then tap the link there to install Thicket.
One favour
Google needs testers to stay opted in for fourteen days in a row before Thicket can go on Google Play for everyone. Please don’t leave the test once you’ve joined, even if you stop using the app. If you do want to leave, you can at any time from the same Google Play page.
Good to know
- It’s the same app as on iPhone, with the same privacy: sound is identified on the phone and nothing you record is uploaded. Read the Android privacy policy.
- Found something wrong? Use Send feedback in the app’s settings, or email [email protected].
